Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My fiancée usually gets her periods at the end of every month. We indulged in unprotected intercourse ten days back and within six hours, she consumed an I-pill. This was the date she lost her virginity. Yesterday, she noticed a white and red discharge on her private parts and today she was experiencing a burning sensation while urinating with a little pimple sort of bubble on her private parts. Is there anything to worry about? Will she get her periods soon? Also is this little pimple caused due to having sex for the first time? What is the cause of this white and red discharge? Please clear my doubts.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

As you have taken an emergency pill within 72 hours of intercourse, there is no chance of pregnancy. She will definitely get her periods. So relax and do not worry. The discharge could be because of hormonal changes due to the pill you have taken. The burning while passing urine could be because of urinary infection. There is nothing major to worry about. Avoid having sex till then. Wear cotton panties and loose lowers. Maintain personal hygiene and take plenty of fluids. Wash your private parts with normal tap water every time you use the washroom. Avoid using vaginal douches and creams.

I hope this information will help you. Please revert in case of further queries.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thanks for the assurance.

Could you also tell me about the boil which she says has a white and red colored sore? This is what has developed in her private parts. She also tells me that she is experiencing a very slight burning sensation while sitting. She applied an anti-bacterial cream on her private parts, which has lessened the redness on the boil. Yet, it is showing a white spot, like how it happens in the case of a pimple.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

This could be some skin allergy or infection. Until examined, it is difficult for me to comment on what exactly it is. Since it is whitish red sore, it seems to be a candidal infection. Better get checked by a gynecologist and get a swab test done.

I hope this has helped you.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you again for your time; I greatly appreciate it.

My fiance is also consuming homeopathic medicine for regulating the periods, which she was prescribed by her homeopathic doctor. Does this help in inducing periods? She is stressing herself out despite taking the I-pill at the right time. Please advise on the above.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes, homeopathy medication will also help in inducing periods. So relax and do not worry. Stress will only add to your problem. Since your safe, keep calm and wait. However, if you have a doubt, then get back to me.

Hope this helps you. Feel free to ask if you have any further queries.

Thank you.
