How does the Height Prediction Calculator work?

To know the predicted height, you first need to feed in the heights of the parents. Then, using this unique formula, you can predict the height of your child.

Male : (Father's Height in centimeters + (Mother's Height in centimeters + 13)) / 2

The Mother's Height in centimeters is first added to 13. This is then added up to the Father's Height in centimeters. The gross result is divided by 2 to give you the final result.

Female : ((Father's Height in centimeters - 13) + Mother's Height in centimeters) / 2

First, 13 is subtracted from the Father's Height in centimeters. This result is then added to the Mother's Height in centimeters. The gross result is finally divided by 2 to give you the predicted height.
