Introduction

We all know that skin sheds old, dead cells once in 25 days. But sometimes, the process might take longer, leading to dry skin. Therefore, it is better to establish a manual method to remove the dead cells to get rid of them. One such way is using exfoliating gloves, which speed up the process of shedding dead cells and keeps the skin clear and fresh.

What Are Exfoliating Gloves?

Exfoliating gloves are gloves that are textured on both sides and aid in the removal of dead cells from the superficial layers of the skin. They fit in your hands like winter mitts. They are available in two forms such as exfoliating gloves and exfoliating mitts. The glove type has sections for each finger, and mitts have a section for the thumb and a large section for the other fingers.

How Do Exfoliating Gloves Work?

Exfoliating gloves have granular substances coated on both sides. They have small pores on the gloves which help in locking the dead cells and aid in easy removal from the outer layer of the skin. This finally results in spot-free and flawless skin.

How to Use Exfoliating Gloves?

Exfoliating gloves must be used only once or twice a week and not every day. Before purchasing an exfoliating glove it is important to understand your skin type and then get it. This is because if skin type does not match the glove texture, it might lead to serious adverse effects. It should not be used in combination with other forms of exfoliants.

Steps in Using Exfoliating Gloves:

  • Make your body wet. This allows the dead skin cells to loosen.

  • After wetting, it is the personal preference of the individual to use soap, shower gel, or a scrub.

  • In case the individual uses a foamy scrub, it can be directly squeezed into the exfoliating glove and then scrubbed.

  • Scrub with the gloves in a circular motion. Do not scrub in the vertical direction.

  • Focus on every area, and if you want to exfoliate your face use a soft exfoliating glove, not the usual one.

  • Then rinse the body entirely with water and pat dry.

  • Immediately apply a moisturizer to prevent drying of the skin.

There are two methods of exfoliation with exfoliating gloves.
