Are upper and lower left wisdom teeth linked for extraction?

Hi doctor,

I am a 30-year-old male. I had cheek biting on the left side, and I removed my left upper wisdom tooth before three months. I have a white line and patch adjacent to the lower left wisdom tooth. I also have some white dots over the cheek. I had some sensitivity issue in the left lower wisdom tooth, and I consulted an endodontist.

The sharpness of the cusp was reduced, and GIC filling was done for the mild decay. Now, I am eating only on the right side of the tooth. I have a fear of damaging the filling, and so I am eating food on the right side. Now, I do not have pain, but, occasional sensitivity issues. I am advised to have braces after two months. I have an impacted lower left first premolar to erupt. Should I need to conserve the left lower wisdom tooth or can I extract it? I am attaching the images and X-rays. Please give your advice.

I am not comfortable with my retainers after getting veneers. What to do?

Hello doctor,

I am a 25 year old male who had braces five years back. I had braces for two and a half years for upper teeth only, and I still wear my retainer every night. I recently got veneers on my upper six front teeth, so my dentist had to make a couple of adjustments to my retainer. For about two months the retainer was good, but recently in the morning when I take my retainer out, one or two of my veneers seem to move and when I bite they click back into place. I went to my dentist, but he assured me that everything is fine. He also said that if it bothers me so much, then I should see my orthodontist about getting a new retainer. As an experiment, I wore my retainer for about a week (day and night) and throughout that time, I did not have any movement issues. Then when I switched back to only night-time wear, it started happening in the mornings again. I am worried that my teeth are being damaged and that they are going to fall out randomly one morning. Do you think I need a new retainer? I have an appointment with my orthodontist in a month. So, I also wanted to know, do I require wearing my retainer until my appointment? And if yes, then how often?

My teeth are crooked after using retainers only at night. Should I get braces again?

Hello doctor,

One of my teeth started moving backward as soon as I started wearing my retainer just at night. It got painful to put the retainer back in, and so I stopped wearing it. I am terrified of orthodontists and dentists, and so did not let my orthodontist know. Now, two of my teeth has moved backwards and a couple are slightly crooked. Should I get braces again or is there another option for this?

My front teeth are flaring outside and it is looking ugly. Please suggest treatment.

Hello doctor,

I hope you are safe and sound. I am 20 years old, and I am wearing braces for the past eight months. I got my two teeth removed and both of them from the bottom. One from the front bottom teeth, and one from the back of the bottom right canine. My orthodontist now uses rubber bands on my teeth which I have been wearing for almost two weeks now I can see my canines have adjusted, but my front teeth are flaring outside, and it is looking so ugly that I am worried they might never go back in due to lack of space. I hope you can suggest me something here. Looking forward to your reply. Thank you.
