Is severe bleeding after intercourse common?

Hello doctor,

I recently had intercourse, and there was quite a lot of bleeding. The next day it stung quite a bit, and when I urinated, it was painful to sit down. I inspected my vulva with a mirror and found a tear or rip at the base of my vulva. I searched, and I think it is at the posterior fourchette. It is 10 days since this, and there is no longer pain and discharge or bleeding. However, I can still see the tear, it is red. How long should it be before this seals over and should I avoid having sex until it does? Also, how common is it for this to happen, and will it happen every time I have sex?

My kids were playing in a dirty pool while I was mowing my lawn. Should I watch them for sickness?

Hi doctor,

I was mowing my lawn tonight, and my kids played as I mowed. Not thinking anything of it, they jumped into their day and a half old water kids pool. They played for about 20 minutes. As I got close to the water more, I realized the water was warm and stinky. Should I watch them for any sickness after that? I, of course, looked it up when we came in, and the brain-eating amoeba is in all the articles, and I am panicking. Kindly give your opinion.

My urine is bright yellow in color. Could it be due to any kidney problem?

Hi doctor,

I am 76 years old. I do not feel thirsty thus I drink very little water for a long time. I was advised to take more water but I am unable to take as I need to force myself to do so. My urine used to be yellow three or four times a day whereas for the past 20 days it is always yellow in color and after urination when I flush the commode bright yellow color is appearing in the water. I felt like checking up and got a kidney function test done. I have the reports but there is no option to attach file. However my urea is 27.6, blood urea nitrogen is 12.6, creatine is 0.9, and uric acid is 7.1. I am on medication for my diabetes and hypertension. Can you suggest what I need to do further on my condition? What is the present state of my kidneys? Best regards.
