Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. There is nothing to worry about. They must be just stained pits and fissures. Since you have not brushed your teeth or maintained your oral hygiene for a week, they have developed. I insist that you start gently brushing and rinsing your mouth twice daily with any over-the-counter mouthwash.
Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. I understand your concern. I have seen the picture (attachments removed to protect patient’s identity) you sent me. First of all, it is called a mucocele and not a canker sore. It is caused by the habit of lip biting or trauma from your front teeth, which inflames the minor salivary glands, leading to the collection of fluid and forming a typical small water bubble-like lesion.
Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. I have gone through the snapshot of the patch you sent me (attachment removed to protect patient identity). I have a few questions before I diagnose the same. Do you have any burning sensation in that region of the cheek while having food or just like that? Do you have limited mouth opening? How much can you open your mouth? You should at least be able to put three fingers vertically in your mouth to be normal. I suggest you stop the above medication as the lesion is lichen planus, and it is autoimmune, until you have a burning sensation, you need not worry.
Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com. I feel that there could be an infection around the gums, probably due to some food lodgement or other foreign particles. I predict infection due to the duration of five days, which is sufficient for it to initiate. As you are going for a regular cleaning, you can be assured it will be removed and probably an antibiotic like Metronidazole may be suggested to you. I do not predict surgery for this condition.
Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com. As per your complaint, I can provisionally diagnose you as suffering from hypersalivation or sialorrhea. There are various reasons for the same like food debris in the mouth during sleep, use of some drugs like cholinergic drugs, malaligned teeth, improper lip closure due to forwardly placed upper teeth and suffering from the gastric problem, etc. I need to know the reason whether you are suffering from the above, if any, to suggest you the treatment or remedy. You can have an elaborated discussion with me online to mark out the causative reasons for excessive salivation and subsequent treatment.
Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. I feel the gum disease has caused a periodontal abscess. It is an infection with a collection of pus around gum tissues. You need to show it to a dentist and get it treated. Along with periodontal therapy, the dentist may prescribe you antibiotics.
Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com. I understand your need to have orthodontic treatment using braces. For having braces, it is important that you should not have any gum diseases. Gum diseases like periodontitis cause bone loss and hence it can be prevented by undergoing gum treatment. It includes gum surgery and bone grafting.
Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com. I understand the pain you are experiencing due to impacted wisdom teeth. These teeth should be removed to alleviate the pain. They are removed by surgical procedure mostly under local anesthesia. Sometimes they are done under conscious sedation also.
Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com. I can understand the problem. It is called lower jaw insufficiency and it is an orthodontic problem with crowding in lower front teeth. The yellow layer is called dental calculus and it is a calcified dirt. I would suggest you undergo orthodontic treatment.
