Patient's Query

I have severe upper abdominal pain, which feels like stabbing pain every day, especially after I eat. My right hand and legs are also numb. What could be the reason?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

This pain is due to gastritis and stomach ulcer, in which the pain occurs after eating. I suggest you to follow a few things to mentioned below.

  1. Take a capsule of Omeprazole (antacid) 40 mg, one capsule half hour before breakfast.
  2. Take a tablet of Levosulpiride (antipsychotic) 25 mg one capsule twice daily before the meal.
  3. Take syrup Gaviscon (antacid) 120 ml, two tablespoons thrice daily after the meal for two weeks.
  4. Exercise daily for 30 minutes.
  5. Avoid spicy foods, alcohol, and fatty foods.
  6. Avoid lying down immediately after eating.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk to them and take medications with their consent.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you,
