Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

When I bend or kneel, especially when I kneel, my throat hurts and feels pressure from yesterday. I am taking Lamotrigine for epilepsy. Kindly help me.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

This can be due to gastric reflux. It is a condition where our stomach acids hit back to the throat and esophagus. So due to that, slight discomfort is felt. As you mentioned, you feel it when you bend down, so most probably, it is due to gastric reflux only. I would suggest you take Tablet Pantoprazole 40 mg once a day before meal for three days.

Do you have acidity or abdomen fullness? Do you have difficulty passing stool? Did you recently have a fever or cough? Please let me know so that I can guide you accordingly.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you.

There is no acidity or abdomen fullness, no trouble in passing stool, and I have not had a fever or cough. However, the pain has gotten worse since yesterday. As I said before, there was pain and pressure when I bend or kneel but last night, just changing the elevation of my body caused the pain and pressure to feel a little worse. Also, when I inhaled too long, or deeply there was pain and pressure. Kindly help me.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Then it can be reflux or, most probably, a respiratory infection. So please do a chest x-ray once and CBC (complete blood count) test. These will help to rule out both. After testing, you can send me the reports. I will check and prescribe you medicine accordingly.

Till that, you can take Pantoprazole and see if there is any improvement or not. Please get the reports for further help.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
