How to get rid of acne and dark patches in the skin?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

How can I get rid of acne, and why do they occur? There are many medications on the market—how do I choose the right one? Also, what can I do about uneven skin tone and dark patches? Please suggest.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Relax and make yourself stress-free.

Causes of acne could be hormonal, stress, genetics, overactive sebaceous glands, clogged pores, propionibacterium species, exposure to dust, and certain medications.

Management:

  1. Adopt a good skin care routine.

  2. Wash face with Ethiglow (kojic acid, vitamin C, Nicotinamide, and vitamin E) face wash twice daily for two weeks.

  3. Apply Episoft Ac (propanediol, propylene glycol, and hydroxylethyl acrylate) cream in daytime for two weeks.

  4. Apply Melaglow (liquorice extract, Niacinamide, and arbutin) rich cream twice weekly for six weeks on dark spots.

  5. Tablet Limcee (multivitamin tablets) 500 milligrams once in a day after dinner for two weeks.

  6. Avoid mid-day sun.

  7. Drink plenty of water.

  8. Use sunscreen lotion daily.

Attach a clinical picture to assess so can guide you further.

I hope this has helped you.

Please feel free to reach out to me again if you have further queries.

Thank you.
