Is Clienzo safe for my acne without leaving scars?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have acne and am using Clienzo 10mg/g plus 50mg/g gel. It helps me, but am afraid that it can leave some scars after the treatment. Is it fine if I do not do any other procedures like peeling? Or should I just continue using this gel and everything will be fine?

Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

I have seen your query and examined your picture (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). It seems like you are having active acne with acne scars. You can continue the same medicines that you are using. You can get Salipeel session done once a month.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk to them, and do the procedure with their consent.

I hope this has helped you.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

If I do not do Salipeel sessions till I get rid of the acne, will it be possible to get rid of the scars after that?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com. You can take chemical peeling sessions from now onwards. It will reduce your active acne and scarring to some extent. Then you can go for derma rolling or micro-needling.

I hope this has helped you.

Thank you.
