Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been dealing with acne since I was 18 and now I am 19. And it is pretty bad or noticeable. So I have tried Proactiv and all it did was smooth out my skin and keep a check with new flare-ups and breakouts but what I am struggling with is the scars and blemishes that the acne left. So my question is what would you recommend? So help my skin to have at least 80 % improvement because I just do not know what else to do to help get my skin back to normal.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your case. Acne is common in your age and you may experience frequent exacerbations due to stress or hormones. You are having active lesions. Take tablet Doxycycline 100 mg once daily for 21 days. Apply skin cream only in a very little amount on your lesions at night. Do not take too much or you will have burning. Well, acne scar requires CO2 (carbon dioxide) laser and may require multiple session.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
