What could be done to resolve acne scars?

However, these acne scars heal with post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). It is usually a short duration in light-skinned individuals, but in darker individuals, these PIH persist for a longer time, maybe for two to three weeks. However, this duration can be curtailed by using depigmenting cream, and sunscreen and using the required sun protection. You can use Depiwhite cream (brightening cream) or Adapalene (vitamin A) gel 0.1% at night daily and also use noncomedogenic sunscreens like Faceguard or Suncros soft gel with SPF 50+ during the morning hours all over the face after taking a bath. Repeat once after four hours. Certain dietary restrictions like avoiding oily, spicy, or junk foods, milk products, and non-veg foods should be followed. Drink lots of water, which hydrates your skin. Use a good quality face wash like Cutiwash soft foam gel for cleaning your face twice daily, and avoid using hair oil, as it aggravates the forehead acne.
