Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have been having chronic skin problems, and after doing some study, Cutibacterium acnes may be the cause. I am a 35-years-old, and I have noticed that my face is red and that I have frequent breakouts. Could you elaborate on Cutibacterium acnes and how it affects various skin conditions? What symptoms does it cause, and how does it affect the skin? Are there any particular triggers that induce its growth? What skincare practices or remedies can help control or stop breakouts linked to this bacteria? I would appreciate any advice or insights you can provide me.

Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

I suggest using Clindamycin ointment for local application and tablet Doxycycline 100 mg twice daily for 10 days.

  1. Laser or Light Therapy: This treatment works best with other acne treatments.
  2. Corticosteroid Injection: A dermatologist can inject it with a corticosteroid if you have a significant, extremely painful, deep acne breakout. This can rapidly relieve the pain and the size of the breakout. While effective, this treatment is reserved for treating a few severe acne breakouts. Using it more than a few times can cause side effects.

I hope this infection will help you.

Thanks.
