Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been suffering from acne bumps on my entire face. I have tried many products to get rid of them, but nothing has helped. I apply very minimal makeup and use coconut oil for makeup removal. I also have a few acne scars. What to do?

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query.

Pimples usually occur due to hormonal issues and oily skin. So, I suggest you follow the instructions mentioned below.

1. Do not use hair oil or any sticky cream on your face.

2. Avoid oily food, chocolates, and milk products.

3. Avoid dust and use a good sunscreen with an SPF (sun protection factor) of more than 30.

4. Do not apply any cosmetic cream on your face.

5. Do not use any steroid creams.

6. Continue treatment for at least one month.

7. Do not touch acne and avoid pressing it.

8. Use a Clindamycin (antibiotic) gel and apply it on your face in the morning.

9. Apply Adapalene (retinoid) gel over your acne during nighttime.

10. Take a tablet of Doxy (Doxycycline) 100 mg once daily.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk with them, and take medications with their consent.

Hope it helps.

Thank you.
