Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a 24-year-old with normal to oily skin and I use only soap. Recently I came to know about facewashes, scrubs, and moisturizers. Are they necessary? I used to have occasional breakouts and have never been free of pimples or scars from previous pimples. I would like to get rid of them. So what should be my routine? Suggest to me some good products and when to use them. I do not like to apply anything on my face in the daytime and also to sleep with any creams on my face. I am attaching the details of some products which I came across with good reviews. Please feel free to suggest me any alternatives.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq and thank you for choosing us as your provider for medical care.
You have active pimples as of now. Facewashes, scrubs, soaps, etc can only help you partly. You can continue using the facewash. Apart from that you will have to use some anti-acne preparations to reduce your pimples.
I suggest you follow the instructions mentioned below until your pimples reduce. After that, you can maintain it with some alternative creams which will help you further.
Use the current medications at least for one month or until the pimples reduce.
I hope this has helped you.
Thank you.
