How can recurring acne issues on the face be prevented?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have had a lot of acne for eight years. I am frustrated because I do not know how to get rid of it. I am looking for a remedy to fix my skin problems. Please assist me.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Acne is readily treated with facewash, pills, and lotions. However, some people have oily skin, which causes breakouts. After finishing therapy for active breakouts, medications can be discontinued, but creams must be continued to avoid recurrence.

Diet and lifestyle changes are also crucial. Please do not self-treat with over-the-counter steroid creams. Popping pimples with your fingers might result in unpleasant scars. These marks left behind by pimples can also be treated.

I hope this has helped you.

Thank you.
