What causes voice breaking in heat or stress?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My throat gets dry, and my voice weakens, which makes it difficult for me to speak clearly when I am exposed to heat. I try to drink plenty of fluid, but it does not help much. This problem also occurs when I walk a long distance or stand for a long time, or when I am stressed.

The way I treat this problem is by lying down for a while, and this helps my voice become normal again. I also realized that my body cannot cope with hot or cold weather, and I am also sensitive to air conditioners. Is this condition related to heat syncope?

Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern.

It seems to be due to some allergic laryngitis, deficiency of vitamins and minerals, and lack of exercise. So, I suggest you follow the instructions mentioned below.

1. Do yoga and meditation regularly.

2. Consume dates, beetroot, jaggery (unrefined brown sugar), and green leafy vegetables regularly.

3. Take a multivitamin capsule daily for six to twelve weeks.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk with them, and take medicines with their consent.

I hope this has helped you.

Kindly revert in case of further queries.

Thanks and regards.
