Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a housewife, and my husband is addicted to the phone. I am emotionally dependent on him, but he never cares about it. I do things to make things interesting in bed, but he does not bother about it and ignores it and sleeps. He never admires me for what I do for him but instead makes fun of it. We never get time alone as we live with his parents, and he is attached to them. He comes to his room only after his parents sleep, and by that, he will be sleepy too. My expectation about married life was not this. I need to get more attention and care from my husband. What should I do about this? Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

When a person knows their partner loves them and is not going anywhere, they start taking them for granted and stop caring about them. That is what is happening in your case. You should stop showing your weakness to him at this moment. Just pretend for a few days that you do not care about him much and doing your duties only; pretend as if you do not expect anything from him. So, after a few days, he would realize your worth.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
