Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
My son is 3 years old and is going to nursery school. I am scared that he has ADHD. He needs to pay attention to most of the instructions. He behaves normally, but when asked to color or repeat rhymes or songs, he does not listen. But he knows all the alphabets and numbers. I am worried about him not paying attention to instructions.
He was asked to prepare for a singing, coloring, and speech competition. He did not even want to listen to what I was teaching. I am apprehensive if he needs any behavioral counseling or something. He wants to gain our attention all the time.
Thanks.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
Regarding your child's symptoms of poor attention and behavioral abnormalities, I suspect ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). Please give him the following and take him to see a physical therapist. I suggest you take 5 mg or 5 ml of Methylphenidate syrup. If your symptoms persist, schedule another follow-up appointment via chat, phone, or video consultation.
I hope this information will help you.
Thanks.
