Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am looking for a doctor to give me some insight into alcohol abuse. I have been drinking more and more over the last 3 to 4 years. I do not want this to turn into a severe problem. I did a lot of research and would like to try the tablet Antabuse (Disulfiram). This has the potential to hinder me from drinking entirely. I am also taking the tablet Zoloft for anxiety and depression.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Alcohol abuse has a negative impact on your health in several ways, including your liver, nerves, stomach, and larynx. It can cause cirrhosis, peripheral neuropathy, gastritis, and larynx cancer. How many drinks do you consume per day? I recommend taking the tablet Antabuse (Disulfiram) 250 mg once daily, followed by tablet Campral (Acamprosate Calcium) 333 mg, two tablets every eight hours.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
