Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a twenty-eight-year-old male who works as a pipe welder and is an occasional smoker. Six months ago, I relocated to a new city. I have been suffering from severe throat congestion, as well as fatigue, sore throat, and sneezing. Recently, I went to the emergency room twice and was prescribed steroids both times, but the symptoms seemed to reoccur. In addition, I was diagnosed with chronic bronchitis. Although Allegra D may help me if taken daily, I have not been taking it. As it was a respiratory infection, the doctor also prescribed antibiotics. However, the symptoms appeared to resurface on several occasions.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Thank you for your query.
Given your history, it appears that you have an upper respiratory infection in addition to chronic bronchitis.I recommend that you begin using Betadine mouth gargles four times per day. As far as the medications are considered, in addition to tablet Allegra D (Montelukast and Fexofenadine), I also recommend that you take tablet Azithromycin (antibiotic) 500 mg (milligram) once daily after food and tablet Pantoprazole (proton pump inhibitor) 40 mg (milligram) once daily before food for five days. I also recommend that you inhale steam three to four times per day to help with gridlock. If you have a cough, take syrup Ascoril (Terbutaline) three times a day.It is additionally suggested that you stop smoking because it can harm your lungs. Rather, I recommend that you focus on chest physiotherapy, yoga, and exercising regularly.
I hope this answer helped you,
Thank you.
