Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am experiencing some discomfort in the anal area, but I am unsure of the cause. Could it be due to hair?

Hi,

I am glad you chose icliniq for your medical-related queries.

I understand your concern and will try to help you with it.

Medical Advice:

It appears to be intertrigo with a possible superficial fungal infection.

Treatment Plan:

  1. Apply Clotrimazole cream (Candid cream) twice daily in the morning and evening for 14 days.

  2. Use Clotrimazole dusting powder immediately after bathing for 2 months.

  3. Use Dersil AF (Ketoconozole) body wash 20 minutes before bathing for 20 days.

  4. Use Ketoconazole soap or Candid TV (Clotrimazole) soap for bathing for 2 months.

  5. If experiencing itching, take tablet Atarax (Hydroxizine hydrochloride) 10 milligrams twice daily after meals for 10 days.

  6. Avoid activities that may cause injury or friction.

  7. Avoid wearing tight or occlusive clothing.

  8. Opt for loose, comfortable, thin cotton innerwear or boxers.

  9. Monitor your sugar levels.

  10. Avoid activities that lead to excessive sweating.

  11. Keep the affected area clean and dry as moisture promotes fungal growth.

  12. Maintain proper hygiene as it plays a crucial role in preventing recurrence.

Please answer the following:

  1. Are you experiencing a burning sensation?

  2. When did the discomfort first appear?

  3. Do you sweat excessively in the affected area?

  4. Have you been scratching or rubbing the affected lesions excessively?

  5. Are you diabetic?

Please reply with the necessary details.
