Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am getting angry and unable to control my anger. People are calling me psycho.

Please help.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for taking help from a psychiatrist. I can understand your situation. You should try to follow the below guidelines to deal with it. It will help you.

  1. You should do exercises daily for 30 to 45 minutes like at least going for a walk. If possible join the gym or swim, it will divert your anger outburst.
  2. You should do meditation for 20 minutes daily, just sit in one place in a comfortable position and try to concentrate on your normal breathing, do not stop or force yourself to stop your thoughts, just let it be. It will help you to relax and calm down.
  3. You should eat healthy home-cooked food, and avoid junk food.
  4. You must drink enough water.
  5. You should spend quality time with friends and family daily.
  6. You should take enough seven to eight hours of sleep daily.
  7. You must avoid tobacco or alcohol or any substance abuse.
  8. When you have anger at that time just count from 1 to 100 before reacting.
  9. Even you must try to avoid that person or just leave that place when you get angry.

I hope that you got your answer.

Thank you.
