Anorexia

Anorexia is a common symptom present in various medical conditions ranging from less severe fever or common cold to deadly cancer. Hence the cause for anorexia must be identified and corrected. Failure of the same leads to nutritional deficiencies, dehydration, weight loss, anemia, energy loss, etc. Decreased appetite is known as anorexia. It can also be due to stress and other psychological disorders like depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorders, anorexia nervosa, etc. Central nervous system stimulants like Amphetamine, Nicotine, Cocaine, etc., and narcotics like Morphine, Heroin, etc., also cause anorexia.
