Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have darkened round spots on the chest for the past six months, which do not change or spread.
Can you please tell me what it is?
Kindly assist.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Before I can help with your complaint, I need you to answer the following questions.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thank you for your reply. I do not have any allergies. I am not diabetic. I do not think they are spreading, certainly not fast. I noticed it about six months to a year ago, and I have not seen significant changes. The fungal infection that I had was athlete's foot. I had strep throat twice over the last one or two years, but it could have been tonsillitis, which I am not sure about. I dress in warm clothes most of the time around the house. If that is what you meant by heat or moisture, I guess these could cause me to sweat more than normal: I do not think I have excess sweating except for this. It appeared so long ago that I have lost track of exactly when it appeared, but it may be within six to twelve months. I have not really had any big injuries, just the odd regular cut or scratch. I have no history of previous treatments, drug intake, or drug allergies. There is no fever. The only symptom I have is infrequent and minor itching, which I do not even notice. Can you help me with this?
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
As per the details provided by you, it seems to be atopic with a fungal infection. I would suggest the following. Use Luliact cream (Luliconazole 1% w/w) twice daily for two months. Take Tablet Teczine-M (Levocetirizine 5 mg and Montelukast 10 mg) once a day after dinner for 10 days. Use Micogel cream (Miconazole 2% w/w) in the evening for two weeks. Bath with KZ (Ketoconazole) soap for months. Use Candid dusting powder (Clotrimazole 1% w/w) if there is excess sweating. Please avoid scratching or rubbing lesions, as it may cause the fungal infection to spread to different parts of the body. Wear loose, comfortable thin cotton clothes. Avoid occlusion or friction. Stay in a well-ventilated room or environment. Limit heavy exercise until the lesion heals, as sweating or moisture may result in the spread of infection.
For further details, can you please tell me if you have had any connective tissue disorder or GI (gastrointestinal) disorder, or any systemic illnesses in the past?
Thank you.
Patient's Query

Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
There are different variants of fungal infection, which can be annular type (as seen in your case), eczematous annular type, and plaque type. General measures like maintaining good personal hygiene, avoiding tight-fitting clothing, and wearing moist clothing. Topical therapy using Micogel (Miconazole), Econazole, or Tyza cream (Terbinafine 1% w/w cream), or Luliact cream (Luliconazole) twice daily for two to four weeks will show results.
Also, can you tell me the following?
Are there any similar lesions in your family members?
Did you use any steroid cream in the past?
Is the lesion itchy at present?
