Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

The red blemish spot on the skin started a few months back. I need help with it; the spots are all over my body.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

It appears to be atopic eczema with an itch mite hypersensitivity reaction. Here are some of the instructions for you to follow:

  1. Apply Mometasone furoate (anti-inflammatory) cream or FM derma ointment (Fluticasone and Mupirocin) at night for 10 days.

  2. Use Cetrimide soap (antibacterial) or Permite BB (Permethrin) bar soap for bath for two months.

  3. Tablet Teczine-M (Levocetirizine ) once at night after food for seven days.

  4. Avoid scratching and rubbing of lesions.

  5. Keep your nails short.

  6. Avoid known triggers.

  7. Avoid extreme weather conditions.

  8. Avoid synthetic wear.

  9. Wear loose, comfortable, and thin cotton clothes.

  10. Maintain proper hygiene as hygiene plays a very important role in avoiding recurrence.

  11. Wash clothes separately in hot water.

  12. Tumble dry it.

  13. Avoid sharing personal belongings.

  14. Apply 5 percent Permethrin cream at night on day one and day seven (below the neck and all over the body). The contact period is eight to 12 hours, and wash off the next morning.

Also, I want to learn more about your medical history, such as whether you have ever experienced abdomen or joint problems. Is there any history of travel, toothache, fever exposure to dust, pollution, animal dander food allergies, or any drug allergies?

I hope this information will help you.

    Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello Dr. Trust you are doing fine. there has been some improvement, I have attached some pictures so you can see and she wants to start applying Nivea cream to evenly blend the complexion. Please advise. Best regards
Welcome back to icliniq. Avoid exposure to dust/pollutants/animal dander/itch mites/bed bugs/allergens and pollens. Apply Mupirocin cream twice daily for 2 weeks(on lesions). Stop steroid use ,as prolong use of steroid cause dyspigmentation/hypopigmentation or atrophy. It is only given to reduce itch and redness/inflammation for few days say 7 to 10 days. As inflammation is reduced you can stop steroid(mometasone). Apply Lactocalamine lotion or caladryl lotion or Dermocalm lotion three to four times daily for 10 days. Use Soapex soap or dermadew soap for bath for 2 months. Avoid scratching and rubbing of lesions as it may cause deep scars. Tablet Loratidine 10 mg once in a day after breakfast for 10 days(if itching). Apply Tacrolimus 0.1 percent ointment at night for 2 weeks.(for steroid sparing effect). Have a nice day. Best wishes. Regards.
