Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have been suffering from atopic conjunctivitis for about a month now. I recently visited an opthalmologist. He prescribed a 15-day course of Tobramycin Dexamethasone eye drops. My eyes felt better but as soon as I stopped, the symptoms recurred. I am currently using Zaditor anti-histamine drops but it is no good. My left eye is watery which results in blurred vision and the left eye seems to have contracted. Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Treatment for this conjunctivitis includes steroids (usually soft steroids like Fluorometholone), lubricating eyedrops, and mild antiallergic eyedrops. Along with treatment, precautions need to be taken like avoid contact of the eye with an allergen. Avoid rubbing your eyes. Do cold compresses. You may need to use these drops for long period and duration depending on the condition of the eye. I would suggest you consult a local cornea specialist and be under his supervision. I hope I have cleared all your doubts. Thank you.
