Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have attached my results of the testicular biopsy, what does it mean? Sections of the right testis show approximately 50 tubules. There are hyalinized tubules. The rest of the tubules are lined by Sertoli cells and no spermatogenesis seen. No germ cell neoplasia in situ was seen. No Leydig cell hyperplasia was seen. Sections of the left testis show approximately 48 tubules, and they are lined by Sertoli cells. Some are hyalinized, and no spermatogenesis is seen. No germ cell neoplasia in situ was seen. No Leydig cell hyperplasia was seen. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. I have checked your biopsy report (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity) that you took to find the reason for azoospermia. The report says there are fewer tubules where semen production happens, and there is no semen production due to tubule defects. It can be an anatomical disorder. I suggest you talk to your fertility expert regarding alternate methods if you are planning for a baby.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
