Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 28-year-old male, weighing 185.19 pounds, with a height of five feet 10 inches. I have been experiencing pain in my back and around my right eye for the past three days. The discomfort extends to my upper and lower jaw, and at times, I also sense nasal congestion on the right side. Throughout the night, certain parts of my body feel chilly. I attempted to ease the symptoms with Panadol, but unfortunately, it did not provide relief. Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

You could be experiencing sinusitis, which is an inflammatory sinusitis caused by a virus or bacteria. Sinusitis causes symptoms, such as pain around the eyes, forehead, cheeks, pressure, stuffy nose, fever, fatigue and chills

While Panadol (Paracetamol) may help ease some of your symptoms, it is important to consult with a healthcare professional such as a primary care physician or an ENT (ear, nose, and throat) specialist for an accurate diagnosis and an appropriate treatment plan. Depending on the cause of your symptoms, your healthcare provider may recommend antibiotics, nasal decongestants, or nasal sprays to help manage your symptoms and you will recover quickly

In the meantime, you can try some home remedies to ease the symptoms such as rubbing salt in the nose or rinsing it help clear your nose, helping with warm compresses on the face for pain and stress relief, as well as getting plenty of rest staying hydrated and steam inhalation.

If it worsens or does not improve after a few days of home treatment, it is important to pay close attention to your symptoms and seek treatment.

I hope this helps. Feel free to contact me if you have any further queries.

Thank you.
