Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a question. I had BV symptoms four times before, and I left them untreated the first three times. I took probiotics, and the smell down there went away, and my discharge became normal this time. I left it untreated, and it has gone away, but I have a little smell. I took Metronidazole with the advice of a doctor who did not examine me in person, but I do not know if I should take it or go to a gynecologist. Please advise.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

You should take Metronidazole along with tablet Doxycycline 100 mg twice daily and Clingen vaginal pessary (Clindamycin and Clotrimazole). Keep this in the vagina while sleeping at night. Use these for five days. You should keep that area clean and dry and change undergarments two times a day. Wash your genital area with soft cleansers like V-wash (Triethanolamine lauryl sulfate and ammonium lauryl sulfate) to avoid repeated infections.

Hope this information helps you.

Feel free to ask further queries.

Thank you.
