Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

This looks more like herpes genitalis (attachment removed to protect patient identity). Can you please send details like:

  1. Duration of the problem.
  2. Are you sexually active? If yes then is there any similar complaint in your partner?
  3. Any burning or discharge?
  4. Any swelling in the groin?
  5. Any other medical history?
  6. Any treatment taken including home creams?

These details will help us come to the correct diagnosis and start treatment.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

Currently, I do not have any medical history for this issue. It happened four years back. It was a single dot. I had a treatment but not helpful. Now, it is spreading and sometimes I am getting itching in that place.

  1. Duration of problem is four to five years.
  2. Yes, but I did not notice.
  3. No burning but I am getting itching and I am getting mark like grey.
  4. There is no swelling in the groin.
  5. I have attached document which has been done during recent check up.
  6. No, I have used only bathing soap.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

You had not mentioned that you are diabetic. So, this falls under candidal balanitis. Apply Sertaconazole nitrate cream twice a day. I am not prescribing oral medication as the condition would get better with good sugar control. Do visit an endocrinologist for treatment of high blood sugar level as that is most important. Else, this condition will keep presenting again and again.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.
