Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had sex seven days ago, but we used condoms, and he pulled out before ejaculation. Still, I took an emergency contraceptive pill to be safe after six days. I currently have vaginal bleeding and am using a pad. Am I pregnant? Is it implantation bleeding? Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

As you had a pill on time, there is almost no chance of pregnancy in your case. However, you must take another pill to prevent pregnancy if you had intercourse after the pill.

This bleeding could be due to a hormonal imbalance caused by pill. Just wait and watch for your menses. The period may get delayed due to hormonal imbalances caused by the pill.

I hope this helps.

Thank you and take care.
