Patient's Query

Hi doctor:

I have been prescribed a combination of Amlodipine 5 mg and Valsartan 80 mg after being diagnosed with high blood pressure. If I take the medicine continuously, my blood pressure can drop to 56/100 mmHg or something similar, and if I stop, it can rise to 90/150 mmHg? I want to know how to use the medication so that the blood pressure does not drop that much?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query,

As long as your blood pressure without any medication is below 160/100 mmHg that means your blood pressure could be controlled with monotherapy. So I recommend you that take only Valsartan 80 mg once daily before breakfast. Then monitor the blood pressure twice daily for one week.

Please follow up for futher assistances.

Thank you.
