Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Today I checked my blood profile. I have attached my blood report. Please give me suggestions.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through the reports (attachment removed to protect patient identity). There are no major abnormalities as such. However, I have noticed the following derangements. Your Hb (hemoglobin) is borderline, and MCV (mean corpuscular volume) and MCH (mean corpuscular hemoglobin) are low which is suggestive of iron deficiency. So, you should once get your iron profile test done to look for iron deficiency. And if needed, iron supplements later. Also, increase intake of iron-rich food like green leafy vegetables, dates, jaggery, etc. Your BMI (body mass index) falls in the overweight category, which leads to slight derangement of SGPT (Serum Glutamic Pyruvic Transaminase) and slightly high BP (blood pressure). Also, this is the reason for your slightly deranged lipid profile. So, a healthy lifestyle and weight loss are necessary. You should have a healthy lifestyle like avoiding fatty, oily and high-calorie diet. Have low salt diet and monitor blood pressure regularly thrice a day for one week, then once or twice a week. If BP is persistently more than 140/90 mmHg, then you should be on medicines for it. Regular exercises like brisk walking, jogging according to your capacity at least 30 minutes a day and five days a week. Lots of green leafy vegetables, fruits, fish once or twice a week, avoid meat. Avoid smoking and alcohol if any. Your eosinophils count is slightly elevated. Do you have any allergies, etc.? If not, then you should deworm yourself once with tablet Albendazole 400 mg at bedtime once and repeat after two weeks. Hope this helps you and get back if you have any doubts. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
