Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a new mom. I gave birth to a baby girl by C-section last year. She does not drink breast milk at all. I have been trying a lot to breastfeed her. However, I feel my breast milk is getting dry. How can I increase the quantity of my breast milk?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your reply.

I understand your concern. Milk production is different in different mothers. But I suggest you to follow a few instructions mentioned below.

  1. Have a balanced diet and weight.
  2. Drink milk, and eat plenty of dry fruits and vegetables.
  3. Exercise daily for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Avoid drug intake.
  5. Have complete emptying of both breast milk with more sucking by the child. As sucking increases the breast milk.
  6. You can use a breast pump as well.
  7. I hope this has helped you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
