After taking tablet U35, how long should I wait to breastfeed again?

I understand you are breastfeeding and have taken U35, which contains Acetaminophen and Codeine Phosphate. It is alright to take Acetaminophen until a dose of two grams, but ingestion of Codeine is not recommended. The reason is that Codeine and its primary metabolite, Morphine, can pass through breast milk and can cause respiratory depression in your child. The amount of Codeine converted to Morphine depends on your liver conversion and would range from 70 % to 20 %.
If your child has any symptoms such as drowsiness, breathing difficulty, or any color change, please take your child to the emergency room. This is to emphasize that you should not take tablet U35 while breastfeeding. The half-life of Codeine is four to six hours. So you must wait for 24 hours after your last dose of U35 to breastfeed again.
