Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I got a small piece of bone lodged into a tooth filling. What should I do? Can I take it out by myself?
Please advise.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Firstly I would like to ask you, how do you know it is the piece of bone inside your filling? I suggest that it could be the tooth filling material itself in white color, which might have made you feel or think like that. Moreover, even if it is a piece of the bone inside, it cannot be retrieved unless the filling is removed. All tooth-filling materials harden in time, making them fit inside the prepared tooth surfaces.
So I suggest you visit the dentist and get it sorted out accordingly. Also, you can send me a picture of it for review and suggest a better treatment plan.
Please let me know if you need any help.
Thank you.
