Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have multiple small bumps near my penis head which are red and my penis head skin is getting darker in color looking like sunburn. These symptoms have been present for the past month. Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. Please help me with a few details so that I can understand the issue better:

1 Are you diabetic?

2 Does the foreskin move back and forth easily?

3 Are you sexually active and is there any recent contact without a condom with a new partner?

4 If you have been with someone new, did the symptoms start after that?

5 Do you have any trouble passing urine like straining, burning, or blood in urine?

6 Is there any discharge from your penis?

Please revert with the details and upload a few photos of the affected area so that I can guide you better.

Thank you.

Regards.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

The answers to your questions are:

1 I am not diabetic.

2 Yes, the foreskin moves back and forth easily.

3 I was sexually active with my wife and there was a recent contact without a condom nearly one month before.

4 I am not sure but I observed the symptoms after that.

5 I do not feel any trouble while passing urine.

6 Sometimes during ejaculation I feel discomfort with a little burning sensation.

7 No discharge is observed so far.

8 I want to add one thing: I had taken two to three doses of Fluconazole tablet 200 mg during this month and have not taken any medicine since last week but the problem is still the same.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. From the picture you have uploaded (attachment hidden to protect the patient’s identity), I cannot see any red spots.

What I do see are - pearly penile papules - tiny lumps seen around the joining of your penile head with the shaft. These can occur in up to 20 percent of men and are frequently mistaken for warts. As far as the color goes, it is natural for the penis to change color and appear darker than the rest of the area. Again, this is something you should not worry about. You do not need any medication either. Please avoid taking antifungals or antibiotics.

I hope this helps you.

Thanks.

Regards.
