What are the alternative options to bypass surgery?

Hello doctor,

My father is suffering from acute heart pain. According to the reports, he has complete left bundle branch block (LBBB) and coronary artery disease. He is currently 80 years old, and most doctors recommend bypass surgery. Are there any other alternatives to provide immediate relief to him? He is experiencing suffocation, gastric choking, and acute heart pain.

The angiogram pictures (attachments removed to protect the patient’s identity) of your father show disease in all three vessels, as well as 30 percent involvement of the left main vessel. If the left main vessel were not affected, we could have considered angioplasty for the vessel related to the recent attack (infarct-related artery). Given his age, bypass surgery is risky, but if his echocardiogram shows good heart function, then it may be worth considering. Additionally, proper medication adherence can help the patient survive without symptoms if the echocardiogram results are favorable.
