I have a little white spot in the area where my back wisdom tooth used to be. It covers where the socket was when I got it removed 4 years ago. I currently take Suboxone and chew Nicorette gum. Is this normal?

As you have mentioned it can be a canker sore. And if it is painful and irritating then visit the dentist once to show it properly. If there is nothing like this then I would suggest you apply any anti ulcerative gel, like Dologel or Dentogel (Choline salicylate) whichever is available at your place. Or get Metrohex gel (Chlorhexidine gluconate and Metronidazole) for better results.
Drink lots of water and just try to quit your smoking and narcotic habit in more natural ways than these gums.
Maintain oral hygiene properly and use mouthwash after brushing twice a day. Apply baking soda, lemon juice and salt mix in a paste form for 1 to 2 times a week for better results.

I was just always paranoid about the leukoplakia white spot but I forgot to mention that I had that tooth extracted in front of the wisdom because of a complicated surgery.

It has nothing to do with your complicated surgery. It is just a sore (attachment removed to protect patient identity). It will go after some time.
Just follow what I have told you. Also. it is not leukoplakia white spot. So relax. It will be gone for sure.
