Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have swelling and pain in my left foot. What could be the reason for pain and swelling? I did not even suffer from an injury.
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I went through your query.
Regarding your symptoms, it seems you have developed cellulitis. I suggest you please do a CBC (complete blood count) test, electrolytes, and X-ray of the leg. You can take the following medications after consulting a specialist doctor.
1. Take a tablet of Acetaminophen (Paracetamol) thrice daily.
2. Take a capsule of Piroxicam (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug) thrice daily.
3. Take a tablet of Metronidazole (antibiotic) twice daily after food.
4. Apply a good analgesic ointment twice daily.
Hope it helps.
Thanks and regards.
