Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have chest pain for the past 15 days. I also have upper back pain along with it. My ECG and echocardiogram reports are usual. My troponin tests are normal. I had a negative result for the treadmill test. Before three years, my CT angiography was negative. I have GERD. But I do not have chest burn. Please advice.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through the attachment (attachment removed to protect patient identity). Your reports related to heart problem are normal. The symptoms you have now can be due to GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease). You can take Pan IT (Itopride with Pantoprazole) one capsule before breakfast for four weeks. You can take a rest after lunch and dinner. Avoid taking spicy and fried fatty foods. Take foods in small quantity frequently. Revert me after four weeks. If your BMI (body mass index) is 32, then try to achieve it around 25 within six months. You can get some relief.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
