Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have mild pain in the left side of the chest. I always have a feeling of having a heart attack and blockage. I am not taking any medications. Please suggest.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

It can be a muscular spasm, or a heart problem or a gastrointestinal issue. Kindly send your laboratory reports soon to guide you further.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I have sent my details of ECG and echocardiography report. My TMT report shows a negative result. Please suggest.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I have gone through the reports (attachment removed to protect patient identity). You do not have a cardiac abnormality. Your echocardiography shows a standard size of heart chambers and normal function of the heart. Your reports are fine, and there is nothing to worry about the heart anatomically and physiologically. Your EKG (electrocardiography) report does not show a change of ischemia to the heart muscles. Electrical conduction system of the heart is fine. I need some clarification regarding the pain. Please say whether the pain is related to any specific body movements like coughing, and leaning forward. Please tell me about the health status whether you have constipation, cough, feeling of heartburn or acidity in the stomach, and any recent injury. Please say whether the pain relieves or aggravates after taking meals. Please explain about your sleeping environment. Please explain whether you sleep in spring mattresses or foam mattresses, or coiled mattresses. Please say about the habits you have. Please mention about the nature of pain whether it is a pinching type or tightness in the heart or stabbing type of pain or tearing kind of pain. Please explain about your drug history. Please say about the exact position of having pain.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

The doctor told me that I have pain in the chest and back due to anxiety and acidity. They also suggested me to consult a psychiatrist. But I am still worried about heart attack and fat deposition in the heart. Please advise.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You do not have a cardiac abnormality. Your echocardiography shows a standard size of heart chambers and normal function of the heart. All the results are fine, and there is nothing to worry about the heart both anatomically and physiologically. Your EKG does not show a change of ischemia to the heart muscles. Electrical conduction system of the heart is fine. Your lipid profile is fine, and it is in a normal range. There is no threat to the heart and blood vessels. There is no clogging of blood vessels in your body. You do not have a risk of cholesterol. Do exercise daily. Take plenty of water. Take more vegetables, fruits, and salads to your diet. In proteins, you can take fish and skimmed milk. Avoid taking tea, beverages, energy drinks, chocolates, coffee, caffeinated drinks, alcohol, and cigarettes. You can take Omeprazole and Xanax (Alprazolam) for these symptoms. Have a follow up after 15 days.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
