Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I feel constant pain on my right side. Mainly my chest and right arm. It started at night and has not gotten any better. It hurts the most to breathe. I also have mild indigestion and nausea. Can it be due to peptic ulcers?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to iclinq.com.

The pain in your right side, chest, and right-hand area appears to be a result of some gastric issues. Peptic ulcers do not develop overnight. You are having symptoms only for a short duration of time. As per your brief history, you are having mild nausea and indigestion, which can be because of the drugs you are on, or it can be due to gastritis caused by fish liver oil. Peptic ulcers are usually associated with symptoms like stomach pain, fullness, bloating or belching, fatty food intolerance, heartburn and nausea. So, initially, let's go for common problems like dyspepsia. Most likely, you are having dyspepsia. Dyspepsia, also known as indigestion or upset stomach, is a term that describes discomfort or pain in the upper abdomen. It is not a disease. Dyspepsia is a group of symptoms that often include indigestion, nausea, burping, etc. This dyspepsia results from mucosa irritation caused by fish oil supplements you are on. A sour stomach is nothing but a deranged health of the upper gastrointestinal tract, which causes nausea, burning in the stomach, belching, sour burps, and indigestion.

All the best

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
