Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am curious about collagen supplements like type 1 and 2 peptides. I want to know about the dosage, and what it can react with. I have always had knee pain but it hit the rest of my body when I became athletic.

Thank you.

Hello,

Thank you for stopping by!

I am here to provide expert opinions on your medical issues.

I understand your concern. Collagen helps in muscle building only. They are consumed by the muscles present. Along with it, they have other properties as well such as protecting skin from diseases. Naturally, we get them from diet so supplements are not recommended for healthy people. We do not usually prescribe them to people unless the person is deficient. If you are eating a healthy diet then I would suggest you not take them because they have side effects as well such as excessive hair growth, and increased levels of protein can lead to kidney disease as well. But if you want to take them then I would suggest you go with a low dosage. You can take 5 mg per day for three months and see the results and then consult again and continue. Results are visible after two to three months only. If you develop anything after using them then you can connect with me. Do you have any underlying diseases or ongoing treatment? Are you taking any other supplements currently?

I hope your query got resolved.

Please feel free to reach me again, in case of further queries.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for your advice.

I still have a concern about my muscle stiffness and joint pain, and was given the shakes after a hard day's work.

Thank you.

Hello,

Once more, thank you for allowing us to be of service to you.

We value the high level of confidence you have in us!

My advice:

Consult your specialist doctor, talk to them, and take medications with their consent.

  1. Take a tablet of Etoricoxib 90 mg twice a day after meal for five days.
  2. Take a tablet of calcium, vitamin D3 once a day after a meal (night) for 15 days.

Let me know after treatment. Most probably you will feel better if not, we can go for further testing and treatments. Since when do you have this pain and stiffness? Was it after some injury or all of a sudden?

I hope you had a pleasant experience with icliniq.

I will always be available for you in case you have any queries.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
