Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My boyfriend and I have been trying to have a baby for four years. We visited a physician who started blood investigations, such as the HSG test for me and a sperm test for my boyfriend. I found out I was pregnant three days after inserting the dye in my tubes for the HSG. I carried my pregnancy for up to six months and found that my baby's heartbeat had stopped on a routine ultrasound appointment, and I had a stillbirth. All my tests and observations were fine, and the baby also had no problem throughout my pregnancy. At my 12 weeks appointment, my consultant told me I have a small womb as per my HSG reports. They also suspected that one of my tubes was not functioning properly. So, after losing my first child, I had an MRI scan and am awaiting the results. I want to have another baby, but I do not want to wait four more years.Kindly suggest me a treatment for this. Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query, and it would be better If you send me all your investigation and blood reports, if any.

The findings about the tubes on your HSG (hysterosalpingography) are unclear, but I feel you had conceived before and had one stillbirth, which means the tubes are functioning. Intrauterine death of the fetus may be due to congenital abnormalities, chromosomal defects, abnormal blood sugar levels, and abnormal thyroid hormone levels. I suggest you keep a regular check on all your medical issues. I suggest you follow the instructions mentioned below -

  1. Have a tablet of Folate (folic acid) 5 mg daily.
  2. Both partners must indulge in recreational activities, be stress-free, and have a nutritious diet.
  3. Abstain from alcohol and recreational drugs.
  4. Have sex in the fertile window each month, i.e., the 14th to 20th day of your period, for a 30-day cycle.
  5. Maintain a healthy weight according to your BMI.
  6. Also, can you send me your MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) reports for further diagnosis?

I hope this helped you out.

Kindly follow up with the reports.

    Thanks and regards.
