This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 26 year old female. I am currently 19 weeks pregnant, and this is my third pregnancy. I just had an ultrasound done. According to the test results, I do not have any ovarian cysts. I have been having pain on my left side of my ovary for about a month now. And it is only the left side, and I cannot figure out the results. But, sometimes, I cannot walk right or hunch over. It is a stabbing, serve pain and also when I am trying to pee I feel a lot of pressure. I do not know what is going on and whether it is serious. I have no bleeding or leakage. Please help me.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

If there is nothing in the scan including urinary tract infection, then there is nothing to worry about, and there is no harm to you or your baby. This pain could be because of stretching of ligaments, which is very common for most women during pregnancy. However, if you have doubt, then repeat the scan and get a complete urine examination and vaginal swab tests to rule out vaginal infection. Try to take some rest and relax and let us see if that is relieving pain. Also, tell me details about the aggravating or relieving factors, so that I can guide you further. Take care.
