Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I hear sounds, which are not necessarily voices, and I cannot focus on text or computer. I have memory loss, confusion, and forgetfulness. These symptoms have become relevant from the past week. I suffer from anxiety, depression, PTSD, and OCD. I am under Lexapro, Abilify, Mirtazapine, and Buspirone. I have had around eight concussions through my life, and the last one was around three months ago. I am a 19 year old male.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Are you aware that the sounds which you are hearing are not real and are just in your head? You have a history of multiple concussions. That can cause some brain lesion like atrophy or encephalomalacia. These findings can cause the symptoms. It can be checked by CT or MRI of the brain. Your symptoms could be occurring due to anxiety. You are already taking Lexapro for it. Increasing Lexapro (Escitalopram) or adding Klonopin (Clonazepam) in a low dose should help. Talk to your doctor about it. Thanks and take care.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
