How do I manage acidity with chronic constipation?
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am facing stomach burning since last one month and constipation problem also. I am passing stool once in a week only and have stomach pain too. I consulted a doctor. He has given some medicine but nothing has cured. I am facing around last two months, too much anal pain and burning stomach. Could you please suggest any solution for these? Mainly constipation.
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Burning sensation in the chest and stomach is mainly due to acidity, that is, high amount of acid release in the stomach. For burning sensation, you should restrict any spicy or oily food. Also, can you tell me what medicines you are taking so that we can decide if the same medicine has to be continued or new medicine has to be prescribed?
For constipation, you might consider talking green vegetables and salad and at least 10 glass of water per day. Also, for constipation, bulk laxatives can be taken. The pain around the anus is because you have hardened stool and that causes excessive friction to pass, for a rectal enema can be done in the hospital set up. Also, please tell if you have a history or any other disease so that we can go further for management of your problem.
Thank you.
