I have chronic constipation with pain. How to manage?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have constipation. I can go about a week to two weeks without passing a stool. It has been over a year now. I sometimes develop pain on the left top of my abdomen. I currently have fever and it is associated with a headache. I took Soflax in the past for this issue.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I suggest the following try to avoid medications, eat more boiled vegetables and fruits (not fruit juice), drink three liters of water daily, drink 0.6 pints of warm water soon after brushing your teeth in the morning, eat two bananas daily, eat homemade foods, avoid junk food, walk 5 km daily, stay active and be healthy. You can consult by chat consultation or video consultation for further assistance. Thank you.
